Moooove it or lose it

Today's amazing scientific breakthrough comes from German scientists who have discovered that cows are in effect large smelly compasses! According to their findings cattle grazing or at rest tend to orient their bodies in a north-south direction just like a compass needle. Analysis of the satellite images however have yet to reveal which ends of the beastly bovines point north. Any hypotheses? And yet while this recent study sheds light upon man's favorite food chain pet it begs the question; who actually put up the $$ to fund this project? My Answer: Johnny Lingo

O hai! I can answer both of the questions posed in your banner. According to the greeting card I bought on Saturday, the real and somewhat embarrassing cause of the mass extinction of dinosaurs is...reptile dysfunction. (It's a lot funnier with the picture.) And as for the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow, is it African or European?

Maybe their direction depends on if the cow is left or right handed?
My guess is the Canadians funded it. They like curious projects.

I'll bet it's because they eat iron. And then I'll bet they stand with their tushes towards north because their bums have been turned into compasses.
